The Rhinos got off to a slow start by going 2-3 in their first five games, but rebounded to finish the regular season 17-9-2. In the postseason, the Rhinos eliminated the Hershey Wildcats, Charleston Battery, and Toronto Lynx before meeting the Minnesota Thunder in the A-League Championship Game for the third consecutive season. In front of 14,276 fans at Frontier Field, the Rhinos came out on top and defeated the Thunder 3-1 to capture their second A-League Championship.
In the U.S. Open Cup, the Rhinos were eliminated by D.C. United of MLS and came up short in their quest of repeating as U.S. Open Cup champions.
